AMC renews Interview With the Vampire for fourth season

AMC has renewed Anne Rice’s Interview With the Vampire for a fourth season, to be titled Queen of the Damned. Announced at San Diego Comic-Con before the third season finale, the renewal continues the adaptation of Rice’s vampire novels and signals AMC’s confidence in the franchise’s audience and creative team.

The new season will adapt Rice’s third novel, Queen of the Damned, and will feature the established characters confronting Akasha. Hannah Moscovitch will be showrunner and executive producer alongside Mark Johnson and Rolin Jones; the current third season, rebranded The Vampire Lestat, focuses on Lestat’s rise as a rock star and adapts Rice’s second novel.
