The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max offer incremental improvements rather than a major redesign, building on the iPhone 17 Pro range’s aluminium unibody design and dimensions. Their most notable upgrades are a more versatile main camera, a smaller Dynamic Island and improved battery life, although the larger models are heavier and remain expensive.

Both sizes retain 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch OLED displays, 120Hz refresh rates, 3,000-nit outdoor brightness, IP68 resistance and the same three-camera arrangement. The new 48-megapixel main camera adds switchable f/1.48, f/1.8, f/2.8 and f/4.0 apertures, plus manual shutter-speed, white-balance and histogram controls; the Dynamic Island supports three simultaneous Live Activities instead of two. The Pro weighs 7.44 ounces compared with 7.27 ounces previously, while the Pro Max rises to 8.78 from 8.22 ounces, and new colours include Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy.
