- Qatar is mediating to restart US-Iran negotiations.
- Doha warns further escalation could undermine talks.

## Summary

Iran’s armed forces chief of staff, Major-General Ali Abdollahi, has set out five conditions for a regional security roadmap. The proposal comes amid ongoing conflict involving Iran, the US and Israel, while Qatar mediates between Tehran and Washington in an effort to restart negotiations.

The conditions include ending hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon and Gaza; lifting sanctions and unfreezing Iranian assets; paying war reparations; recognising Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz; and guaranteeing against future aggression through a regional framework. Qatar said both sides were reviewing its proposal after talks in Tehran, but warned that further attacks could affect negotiations.
