## Key points

- Ireland lead the South Africa series after a 40-27 win.
- A second victory would make history on Springbok soil.
- Niamh Gallagher and Aoibheann Reilly come into the starting side.

## Summary

Ireland’s head coach Scott Bemand says his side can win a historic Test series against South Africa after their 40-27 victory in the opening match. A second win in Cape Town on Saturday would make Ireland the first side from the country to claim back-to-back Test victories on Springbok soil.

Bemand called the second match a major physical challenge and said Ireland would need to raise their performance to repeat the result and finish the year with another win. He has made two changes: Niamh Gallagher replaces Stacey Flood at full-back, while Aoibheann Reilly starts at scrum-half in place of Emily Lane, who moves to the bench.
