## Key points

- Rangers are unbeaten in 12 matches, winning 10.
- They are one point off the Premiership summit.
- McInnes wants the side to be more clinical.

## Summary

Rangers’ 2-0 win away to St Mirren extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches and moved them within a point of the Scottish Premiership summit. Despite strong results and a solid record at both ends of the pitch, the performance raised questions about whether they are making the most of their chances.

Rangers have scored 21 league goals from 29.8 expected goals, with injuries to Youssef Chermiti and Lawrence Shankland contributing to their missed chances. Ryan Naderi has scored six times in his past eight league matches, while Kevin Kelsy also had opportunities against St Mirren; manager Derek McInnes said poor decisions and passes in promising positions need to improve.
