## Key points

- Five buildings demolished in Biddu, displacing over 100 people.
- Residents say they had no warning or time to retrieve belongings.
- Officials recorded 427 demolition and land-clearing operations in nine months.

## Summary

Israeli forces demolished five Palestinian residential buildings in Biddu, northwest of Jerusalem, displacing more than 100 people from 12 apartments. Residents said troops gave no warning, used stun grenades and tear gas, and prevented families from retrieving belongings, leaving them without furniture, clothes and personal possessions.

The buildings are in Area C, which is under Israeli administrative and security control; the military cited a lack of building permits. A Biddu municipal council member said two homes lacked judicial demolition orders and that the residential complex housed nine families. The Jerusalem Governorate recorded 427 demolition and land-clearing operations in the first nine months of 2026, including 66 forced self-demolitions.
