It sounds like KoRn have “just finished recording” their new album

NME · 8 hours ago

KoRn appear to have wrapped up recording their new album, the follow-up to 2022's 'Requiem', with a member of the band's touring crew seemingly confirming as much in a recent interview. The nu-metal band has been teasing new material for some time, having recently released 'Reward The Scars' for the video game Diablo IV: Lord Of Hatred, their first new song in four years, alongside an animated video.

The apparent confirmation came from Mark Bennett, drum tech for drummer Ray Luzier, who said during an appearance on YouTube channel Drumeo that a particular snare drum was "what we just finished recording the new record with". Guitarist Munky has said the band wrote around 40 songs for the album, describing a lengthy, self-critical writing process aimed at preserving KoRn's signature sound, while Brian "Head" Welch has given mixed signals, at one point saying a new album felt like less of a priority than the band's live show, though he hinted at possible announcements later this year. KoRn are also set to tour the UK for the first time in over a decade, alongside European dates.
