Thousands of Kate Bush fans gathered across the UK and around the world to re-enact the singer's iconic 1978 Wuthering Heights music video, dressed in red dresses and black wigs, for the annual "Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever" event. The tribute, inspired by both Bush's song and Emily Brontë's novel, is especially poignant at its Yorkshire location on Penistone Hill near Haworth, close to the Brontë parsonage and within sight of the ruined farmhouse believed to have inspired the book's setting.

The Haworth "Mass Wuther" sold out within 90 seconds this year, with all 500 tickets snapped up, following a sell-out event in 2025; proceeds are being shared between charities including Women's Aid and local Brontë and bridleway groups. Participants travelled from as far as Australia, Canada, Norway and the United States to take part, with similar gatherings also held in Folkestone and other locations worldwide, including past events in Sydney, Copenhagen, Berlin and Preston.
