In an Instagram video posted a day after Deadline reported the cancellation, Foley described himself as "disappointed but grateful", pointing out that the show had performed well and been critically praised. Foley noted the show had spent around six weeks in Prime Video's Top 10 — reaching as high as third or fourth — and held a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The series, from Parenthood alumni Ian Deitchman and Kristin Robinson, follows Malcolm (Foley), a recently widowed pastor with three children, and Lori (Erinn Hayes), a newly divorced mother of two, as they navigate single parenthood. It received a wide Prime Video release on 15 May 2026, having first debuted in January on The Wonder Project add-on channel. Foley thanked fans, cast and crew, and encouraged viewers to watch the show, which remains available on the platform.
