## Key points

- McCarthy says crowd noise will not be a concern in Philadelphia.
- The Giants have not won at the Eagles since 2013.
- Barkley is set to return despite recent injuries.

## Summary

J.J. McCarthy will make his latest road start for the Giants against Philadelphia on Sunday, where the team has not won since 2013. He says crowd noise will not distract him, and coach John Harbaugh argues the game will turn on the Giants’ preparation and execution.

McCarthy won his first Giants start in Houston, 27-21 in overtime, and previously won at Ohio State as Michigan’s quarterback. The Eagles are 2-6 and rank near the bottom of the league in several defensive categories, though they still have highly regarded players across the defence. Saquon Barkley is expected to play after hamstring and back problems; he is averaging 4.9 yards per carry this season. The Giants also elevated Jalin Hyatt, Phil Mafah and Dawuane Smoot from their practice squad for Sunday’s game.
