Jack Osbourne: An “Awesome” Actor Is in Talks to Play Ozzy Osbourne in Upcoming Biopic
Jack Osbourne says the script for a Sony Pictures biopic about Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne is complete and directors are now being approached. An unnamed actor is also in discussions to play Ozzy, with Jack promising the choice would be “awesome”; the film matters as it aims to portray one of rock music’s most high-profile and turbulent relationships for Ozzy’s fans.
The project is targeting a 2028 release, although its origins date back to 1998 and the current version has been developed since 2020. Jack said the family wants a fan-focused film rather than an “artsy” biopic, while Ozzy previously described it as the story of how he and Sharon met, fell in love and matured together; he also said he preferred a relatively unknown actor to play him. Jack additionally said the family’s planned AI-powered Ozzy avatar is intended chiefly to preserve his father’s digital likeness.
