Jacob Elordi Dishes on Nate’s Demise on ‘Euphoria’ and Breaking Both His Heels: “It’s Like ‘Fight Club’”
Jacob Elordi appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, guest-hosted by his Euphoria co-star Colman Domingo, to discuss the show's impact on his career and the gruelling storyline that ended in his character Nate's death. The 29-year-old actor, who has since earned an Oscar nomination for Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein and starred alongside Margot Robbie in Wuthering Heights, reflected on how far Euphoria has taken him, joking that creator Sam Levinson brought him back "to torture" him with weeks of on-screen beatings.
Elordi revealed that filming coincided with a serious real-life injury: he broke both heels earlier this year, an incident he declined to detail beyond comparing it to "Fight Club", saying he "jumped off something." The injury, which forced him to miss the Cannes Film Festival jury, meant he was in a cast and moon boot while Nate's character had a toe cut off on screen, prompting jokes about "method acting." He also described being buried alive for Nate's death scene, locked in a coffin for two days with prosthetics, a fake tongue and live snakes added by Levinson.
