Rapper Jadakiss has responded to fellow MC 38 Spesh, who had claimed on the BagFuel podcast that the Yonkers artist had been avoiding him since their "Sunday School" collaboration. On Thursday (9 July), Jadakiss and Fat Joe debuted a new track titled "Aroma", featuring Stove God Cooks, on their Joe and Jada podcast, with Jadakiss using several bars to fire back at Spesh. The exchange marks the latest flare-up in a public back-and-forth between two respected lyricists.

The dispute began when 38 Spesh alleged that he had "smoked" the record he made with Benny and Jadakiss, and that Jadakiss had never worked with him again as a result. Jadakiss had earlier hinted at his reply by saying he was heading to the studio "to do some samurai swording", a line he nods to on the new song via a reference to the classic Sega game Shinobi. The track, taken from Crack's forthcoming album Organized Crhyme and introduced with DJ Khaled as hype man, includes the pointed question, "Is this about a verse or is this about a career?" A response from the Rochester-based 38 Spesh is now awaited.
