Jake Carter and Billy Offer have been appointed as Partners and Co-Heads of Range Select, the film finance and sales division of Range Media Partners. Both executives arrive from UTA's Independent Film Group, where they worked closely enough to become known throughout the industry as "Jake and Billy". The move signals continued expansion at Range and strengthens its capabilities in independent film financing and sales.

Carter spent five years as an agent at UTA specialising in global film finance, distribution and marketing, arranging financing and sales on titles such as Oliver Hermanus' History of Sound and Todd Haynes' May December, following earlier stints at 30WEST, Black Bear Pictures and a law firm. Offer began in the UTA mailroom and spent a decade in its Independent Film Group, supporting films including Osgood Perkins' Longlegs, the highest-grossing independent film of 2024. Founding Partners Jack Whigham and Rich Cook welcomed the pair, whose hiring follows a run of recent additions and acquisitions across Range's Film/TV, Studios, Sports and Games divisions.
