## Key points

- Four actors reportedly remain in the James Bond casting race.
- Jack Lowden, Callum Turner and Josh O’Connor are named.
- A decision is expected before the end of the year.

## Summary

A report says the search for the next James Bond has reached screen tests, with four actors still in contention. The choice matters because Daniel Craig left the role after 2021’s *No Time to Die*, and the new casting will shape the next chapter of the long-running franchise.

The reported finalists are Jack Lowden, Callum Turner, Josh O’Connor and an unnamed actor. Screen tests, initially planned for early October, were delayed so all four could take part at the same time; they are expected to finish by the end of next week, with a decision likely before year-end. The report rules out other rumoured contenders, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jacob Elordi, and conflicts with Gary Oldman’s September suggestion that Lowden had already been chosen.
