She said Jay-Z did not assault her and apologised for the harm caused, while her lawyer said she had been assaulted but was mistaken in identifying him. The declaration accompanied Jay-Z’s voluntary dismissal of her as a defendant in his malicious-prosecution case against lawyer Tony Buzbee.

The original allegations were made in a 2024 lawsuit concerning an alleged assault involving Sean “Diddy” Combs when the woman was 13, with Jay-Z later named as an additional defendant. She subsequently dismissed the complaint, citing inconsistencies, while Jay-Z has alleged that Buzbee attempted to pressure him into a confidential settlement through threats to his reputation. However, a California court dismissed Jay-Z’s separate extortion lawsuit, and an appeals court upheld that decision, finding Buzbee’s demand letter legally protected.
