Actor and musician Jared Leto has denied allegations of criminal sexual conduct made by 10 women in a new BBC documentary, calling the claims "categorically false." The documentary, "Jared Leto: Hollywood's Darkest Secret," alleges a pattern of misconduct spanning over a decade, with four of the women saying the incidents occurred when they were teenagers, raising serious questions about the extent to which industry figures and institutions may have known of or failed to act on the allegations.

The women's accounts, which they say took place between 2002 and 2016 when Leto was in his 30s and 40s, include claims that he assaulted one woman in a motel bathroom when she was 17, threatened another with sexual assault at 19, had sex with a third when she was 17 and under the age of consent, and made repeated sexually explicit phone calls to a fourth when she was 16. The BBC said it corroborated several accounts with friends and family the women had confided in at the time, and reviewed supporting photos and messages. Leto, now 54, said in a statement that he has "never sexually assaulted anyone" in his life; similar allegations first surfaced last year after DJ Allie Teilz accused him of misconduct, prompting an Air Mail investigation in June 2025, which he also denied.
