Jason Momoa, Tenoch Huerta, Adria Arjona & Kiefer Sutherland Join Miles Teller in John Swab Thriller ‘Copperhead’; Black Bear Launching Sales At TIFF
Black Label Media has added Jason Momoa, Tenoch Huerta, Adria Arjona and Kiefer Sutherland to the cast of its thriller Copperhead, joining star Miles Teller ahead of the Toronto International Film Festival, where Black Bear will launch international sales on the project. The film follows a veteran detective who is forced to team up with a young federal agent after an undercover drug deal turns violent, exposing a conspiracy within their elite task force. Character details for the new cast members have not been disclosed.
Venice prize-winner John Swab is directing from a script by Chad Feehan and J. Todd Scott, with filming due to begin in September. Black Label Media is financing the project, producing alongside Teller's Lime Tree Productions and Swab's Milk Boy, while CAA Media Finance and WME Independent handle domestic rights. The new cast members bring notable recent credits, including Momoa's turn in Supergirl and The Wrecking Crew, Huerta's Namor role from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (reprised in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday), Arjona's roles in Andor and Splitsville, and Sutherland's legacy as Jack Bauer in 24 alongside his recent part in Juror #2.
