Jason Statham’s #1 Box Office Hit Officially Finds a New Streaming Home

Collider · 3 hours ago

Jason Statham's biggest box office hit, *Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw*, is heading to Peacock, giving the 2019 spin-off a new streaming home seven years after its cinema release. The move comes as both Statham and his co-star Dwayne Johnson endure a rough patch commercially, with recent releases falling well short of expectations and putting fresh attention on their older, more successful collaborations.

Directed by David Leitch, *Hobbs & Shaw* received mixed-to-positive reviews but performed strongly at the box office. Its arrival on Peacock follows a difficult year for its two stars: Johnson's live-action *Moana* remake has struggled to recoup its reported $250 million budget after a weak opening, while Statham's January release *Shelter* grossed just $53 million against a $50 million budget despite decent reviews. Both actors are now banking on safer upcoming projects, *Jumanji: Open World* and *The Beekeeper 2*, to bounce back.

  • *Hobbs & Shaw* is streaming on Peacock from August 2026.
  • Statham and Johnson have both had a weak year at the box office.
  • Both are pinning hopes on upcoming sequels to recover.
