Directed by David Leitch, *Hobbs & Shaw* received mixed-to-positive reviews but performed strongly at the box office. Its arrival on Peacock follows a difficult year for its two stars: Johnson's live-action *Moana* remake has struggled to recoup its reported $250 million budget after a weak opening, while Statham's January release *Shelter* grossed just $53 million against a $50 million budget despite decent reviews. Both actors are now banking on safer upcoming projects, *Jumanji: Open World* and *The Beekeeper 2*, to bounce back.
