Davis, best known as Dawn Tinsley in The Office, said she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer about 18 months ago, with the disease having spread to her spine, right hip and ribs. Lucy Davis is a British actor best known for playing receptionist Dawn Tinsley in the UK version of The Office. She is the daughter of comedian and actor Jasper Carrott, who became widely known through television and live comedy.
Breast cancer begins when abnormal cells grow in breast tissue. Stage four, also called secondary or metastatic breast cancer, means the cancer has spread to another part of the body, such as bones, and cannot currently be cured.
