Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith are developing a video game starring their long-running stoner characters Jay and Silent Bob, titled "Jay and Silent Bob's Joint Venture". The project puts a raunchy, marijuana-growing spin on the cosy farming game genre popularised by titles such as Farmville and Stardew Valley, and matters as an unusual crossover between an established comedy film franchise and an emerging indie games publisher.

The game is being made by newly launched studio Nitrate Games, founded by Daniel Kendrick, Montana Sommese and Nick Madonna, and was announced by Smith on Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con. It is targeting a 2027 release on PC and Steam, will let players interact with characters from Smith's films, and has Chase Marotz as creative director with Ernie Altbacker writing. Nitrate is also reportedly looking to adapt other cult properties, including 1978 film Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
