JAY JAY FRENCH Says ‘The Public Is Gonna Ultimately Decide’ Whether They Accept SEBASTIAN BACH As New Singer Of TWISTED SISTER
Twisted Sister guitarist Jay Jay French has defended the band's decision to bring in Sebastian Bach as touring frontman for their fall 2026 shows, following Dee Snider's resignation due to health issues. French said Bach was the only performer with the stature and stage presence to take on the role, describing him as enthusiastic and impressive during rehearsals, and argued that ultimately audiences, not critics, will determine whether the change is accepted.
In the interview with Rock 'N' Blues Experience, French compared the situation to bands such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Foreigner and Queen touring successfully without original members, insisting Bach brings genuine credibility as a platinum-selling metal artist rather than a replacement plucked from a talent show. He noted the band had held eight hours of rehearsal with Bach, said any decision on further shows in 2027 would unfold naturally, and reflected on having navigated around 20 lineup changes across more than 3,000 performances, adding that such criticism has always followed departures from the group.
