Jay-Z opened a two-night run at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday with a "Happy Birthday" tribute to Beyoncé, marking her 45th birthday with a stadium-wide singalong and fireworks while she watched from a VIP suite. The concert was Jay-Z's first UK headline show in almost 13 years and part of a tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, following a similar run of shows at New York's Yankee Stadium.

The show featured a string of high-profile guest appearances, including DJ Khaled and Giggs for "God Did," and a surprise Fugees reunion with Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean performing "Ready or Not," "Killing Me Softly" and "Fu-Gee-La." Sir Idris Elba opened proceedings, and celebrities including David Beckham, Cynthia Erivo and Michael B. Jordan were in attendance. Jay-Z plays a second Tottenham date on Saturday before the tour moves to Paris on 10 September and concludes with added dates in Los Angeles in late October.
