Saturday Night Live UK has confirmed that Jurassic Park actor Jeff Goldblum will host the opening episode of its second season, which returns to Sky on 12 September. Goldblum is an experienced SNL presenter, having previously hosted the original NBC version in 1993 and 1997, and his casting gives the UK spin-off further star power as it looks to build on a first season that included hosts such as Tina Fey, Hannah Waddingham and Nicola Coughlan.

Goldblum will be joined for the premiere by Irish singer-songwriter and Brit Award nominee CMAT as musical guest, though Sky has yet to reveal who will host the remaining episodes. The six-episode second season will pause after its initial run before resuming in early 2027, with the full Season 1 cast returning, including Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye and Emma Sidi. Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival, Sky's unscripted chief Philip Edgar-Jones said the broadcaster was "in this for the long run" and pleased to have proved sceptics wrong.
