Jeff Rosenstock joins 311 Caribbean Cruise after twelve-year lobbying campaign

Stereogum · 24 hours ago

The rock band 311, longtime hosts of their own concert cruise, have announced that musician Jeff Rosenstock will feature on their 311 Caribbean Cruise, sailing from 10–15 March 2027. The booking is notable because Rosenstock spent roughly twelve years openly lobbying for a slot, making his eventual inclusion a light-hearted case of persistence finally paying off.

Back in November 2014, as his former band Bomb The Music Industry! was winding down, Rosenstock launched a tongue-in-cheek online petition asking 311 to let him play, arguing that despite differing musical styles the acts shared a positive, fun-loving vibe. He kept up the campaign as recently as 2024 and regularly marked the annual "311 Day" online. The 2027 cruise departs from Miami, stopping in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and Grand Cayman, with a lineup that also includes the Pharcyde, Little Stranger, Ballyhoo!, Bumpin Uglies, the Skints and RDGLDGRN. Rosenstock celebrated the news on Instagram by declaring, "The prophecy has been fulfilled."
