## Summary

Jeremy Renner and Josh Brolin will star in *A Speck in the Sea*, a survival thriller based on a 2013 incident in the Atlantic. The film matters as a new project pairing two Oscar-nominated actors with director Orlando von Einsiedel, and international sales are launching at the American Film Market.

Brolin will play Montauk lobster fisherman Johnny Aldridge, who fell from his boat at night while his fishing partner Anthony Sosinski, played by Renner, slept below deck. Sosinski organised a multi-state search after discovering Aldridge was missing, while Aldridge tried to survive alone at sea. Jeff Pope wrote the screenplay; Mark Bauch and Jonathan Eirich are producing, and CAA Media Finance and WME Independent are jointly handling North American rights.
