Jessica Chastain returns to the screen this November with Netflix's crime thriller Heartland, following the indefinite postponement of her Apple TV series The Savant, which was delayed after the assassination of American political commentator Charlie Kirk. The film marks another high-profile addition to Netflix's slate and continues Chastain's prolific run across both film and television following acclaimed roles in works such as Zero Dark Thirty and George & Tammy.

Written and directed by Shana Feste, Heartland is set in Nashville and follows Chastain's character Misty Jones, a former country music star who abandoned fame for a secluded life. Her solitude is disrupted when her niece, also a singer, goes missing, forcing Misty to confront her past and Nashville's hidden underside. The cast also includes Wynn Everett, Garret Hedlund, Ross Lynch, Carter Faith and Jennifer Nettles, with the film set to premiere on Netflix on Friday 13 November.
