Two acclaimed actors are joining an upcoming Irish film exploring the high-stakes world of professional opera. The narrative follows a soprano facing a crisis when she begins to lose her hearing, forcing her to conceal her condition whilst navigating the demands of a challenging new production. Filming is underway at locations including the National Opera House in Wexford and Belfast.

The production represents a feature directorial debut for opera director Edwina Casey, who has assembled an experienced creative team including a cinematographer, production designer and costume designer with significant film credits. The project has been selected for prestigious development programmes and supported by Irish and Northern Irish screen funding bodies, with distribution across the UK and Ireland planned for next year.
