## Key points

- Andy Field’s daily horse drawings have drawn millions of views.
- The project celebrates making art for fun, not perfection.
- Parents are advised to skip the adults-only day 69 drawing.

## Summary

Comedian Andy Field has been drawing and posting a horse every day since an impulse to sketch one during his Edinburgh Fringe run grew into a popular social media project. The series has attracted millions of views and has become an upbeat reminder that people can make art for enjoyment without worrying about getting it right.

Now nearing day 80, Field’s imaginative drawings have included a boxing horse, a skateboarder and a guitar-playing horse named Jimi Horsedrix. He says he prefers following playful ideas to concentrating on formal drawing advice; the project has also encouraged some viewers to draw and given families an example of enjoying mistakes. One drawing, day 69’s depiction of horses observing oral sex, is unsuitable for children.
