A restaurant employee in St Louis, Missouri, has been charged after allegedly opening fire on a car and wounding a 14-year-old girl during a dispute that began at a Jimmy John's sandwich shop. The incident, which unfolded on a Saturday evening, highlights how a workplace argument can rapidly escalate into serious gun violence affecting bystanders, including a minor.

Police say the shooting followed a disagreement involving the girl's mother and people connected to the restaurant, though the mother's link to the business is still being investigated. The accused, 27-year-old Adam White, allegedly argued with a former colleague before firing multiple rounds into the rear of a car as it drove away, striking the teenager in the leg; she was hospitalised in a stable condition.
