Joel Kinnaman Interrogates Saddam Hussein in ‘High Value Target: The Hunt for Saddam’ Trailer
TNT has released a trailer for "High Value Target: The Hunt for Saddam", a political thriller starring Joel Kinnaman as real-life CIA officer John Nixon, who interrogates a captured Saddam Hussein following the 2003 US invasion of Iraq. The eight-part series is based on Nixon's memoir "Debriefing the President" and dramatises the search for Iraq's leader and the weapons of mass destruction used to justify the war, a story whose consequences the network says still shape geopolitics today.
Hussein is played by "Baghdad Central" actor Waleed Zuaiter, with an ensemble cast including Tom Berenger, Christopher McDonald, Dar Salim and Talia Balsam; the manhunt depicted included a $25 million bounty on Hussein after his capture from a hiding hole in late 2003. Created by Daniel Stiepleman and directed by Leslie Greif, the series premieres with two episodes on 13 September, airs weekly on Sundays and Mondays, and concludes with an 4 October finale on TNT.
