Aura has confirmed that Joel Kinnaman's new action thriller, The Beast, will be released in cinemas on 9 October, accompanied by the release of its first trailer. The announcement continues Kinnaman's prolific run as an action star, following recent roles in Netflix's Detective Hole and Prime Video's Icefall, and adds another high-profile project to a filmography that has ranged from box-office misses to recent hits.

The Beast is directed by Renny Harlin and also stars Samuel L. Jackson and Guy Burnet. Its official synopsis describes a militia of unidentified hostiles staging a coup against the United States, with the president forced to draw on the classified capabilities of "The Beast" to save his own life and the country.
