JOHN BUSH: ‘I Champion’ The Fact That ARMORED SAINT Has Kept Same Lineup For More Than Three And A Half Decades

Blabbermouth · 10 hours ago

ARMORED SAINT vocalist John Bush has spoken about the band's remarkable lineup stability, noting that the group has retained essentially the same members for more than three and a half decades. Speaking to Stevie J of TotalRock, Bush explained that aside from founding guitarist Dave Prichard, who died in 1990, the current line-up has remained unchanged, which he considers a rare achievement in heavy metal alongside bands like METALLICA and ANTHRAX.

Bush highlighted that the current five-piece — himself, guitarists Phil and Gonzo Sandoval, guitarist Jeff Duncan and bassist Joey Vera — has been together since 1989, aside from occasional hiatuses while he fronted ANTHRAX. The interview comes as ARMORED SAINT prepares to co-headline "The Metal Saint Tour 2026" with METAL CHURCH and support from LIVEKILL, running from 2 November in San Juan Capistrano to 21 November in Agoura Hills, California, following the May release of their ninth studio album, "Emotion Factory Reset", via Metal Blade Records.
