The three concerts, held on 3 August 2025, celebrated the Grateful Dead's 60th anniversary and featured guest appearances from Grahame Lesh, Sturgill Simpson and Trey Anastasio, among others. They took place during "Days Between", the annual week honouring Jerry Garcia. Weir gave his last major interview to Rolling Stone in March 2025 and died in January 2026 at the age of 78; Mayer's tribute reflected on Weir's refusal to compromise his performance despite his declining health, calling the run a lasting example of resilience.
