John Wick Director’s New Crime Thriller Officially Hits Major Release Date Delay
"How to Rob a Bank," the action crime thriller directed by David Leitch, has been shifted from its early autumn slot to mid-November. The ensemble cast featuring Nicholas Hoult and Zoë Kravitz was initially planned for release during Labour Day weekend but will now premiere on November 12th.
Hoult plays the leader of a masked gang who gain prominence through a series of bank heists whilst attracting social media attention for their advocacy around armed robbery and distribution of stolen funds to charities. Detective John C. Reilly and Kravitz's computer specialist character collaborate to pursue the criminals, particularly as the gang prepares to target a major financial institution run by an executive (Christian Slater) with whom the gang leader shares personal animosity. This November positioning places the film alongside other significant releases including J.J. Abrams' latest work, a Sylvester Stallone boxing narrative, and a Johnny Depp Christmas-themed drama, all arriving ahead of the year's most anticipated December blockbusters.
