Universal Pictures has released the official trailer for Violent Night 2, confirming the sequel to 2022's action-comedy will hit theatres on 4 December. The film sees David Harbour reprise his role as a brawling, foul-mouthed Santa Claus who must fend off an elite team of mercenaries, building on the surprise success of the first instalment's John Wick-meets-Christmas premise.

Harbour, best known as Hopper in Stranger Things, has taken on several high-profile roles recently, including Red Guardian in the MCU (returning in Avengers: Doomsday this December) and Floyd in HBO's DTF St. Louis. He is joined in Violent Night 2 by Kristen Bell, Joe Pantoliano and Daniela Melchior, while the original film remains available to stream on Netflix ahead of the sequel's release.
