## Key points

- Rahm won in Abu Dhabi at 23 under par.
- Hatton finished two strokes back; McIlroy was third.
- The title marks Rahm’s first European Tour win in four years.

## Summary

Jon Rahm won the Abu Dhabi Championship by two strokes, beating Ryder Cup team-mate Tyrrell Hatton and finishing four ahead of Rory McIlroy. The victory is his first European Tour title in four years and gives him a strong start as he prepares to return to established tours after LIV Golf announced plans to wind down.

Rahm shot a final-round 67 to finish 23 under par at Yas Links, earning $1.5 million. He pulled clear with three birdies over five holes from the 11th, while McIlroy finished third and moved into second place in the Race to Dubai standings, which has one event left. Rahm said time with his family and a period away from competition had helped him reset.
