## Summary

Jon Stewart mocked Donald Trump’s remarks about Nicki Minaj on “The Daily Show”, portraying the president as distracted by the rapper while discussing campaign issues. The segment also criticised a political advert involving the estranged mother of Ohio candidate Amy Acton and Trump’s response to questions about it.

Stewart played clips of Trump describing a man’s backside and later calling Minaj’s “beautiful”, then joked that he was transfixed by her. He said Acton’s mother had not spoken to her for 50 years, following a custody dispute connected to her former husband’s indictment for raping Acton’s daughter. Stewart’s hosting contract has been extended through 2028; he first hosted the programme in 1999, left in 2015 and returned in 2024.
