## Key points

- Jacksonville thrashed Indianapolis 42-7.
- Taylor had 23 rushing yards and a fumble.
- His future with the Colts remains uncertain.

## Summary

The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Indianapolis Colts 42-7, a heavy defeat that came as trade speculation around Colts running back Jonathan Taylor intensified. With Indianapolis at 2-6 and having recently traded away key players, the loss has added uncertainty about whether Taylor will remain with the team.

Taylor managed 23 yards from eight carries and fumbled during a botched trick play. Jacksonville led 28-0 at half-time, its third-largest half-time advantage in franchise history; Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdown passes, while Rayuan Lane returned an interception 92 yards for a score. The Colts have reportedly rejected a trade offer centred on a second-round pick, and Taylor’s availability for next week’s game against Dallas is unclear.
