## Key points

- Jonathan Taylor’s wife says the Colts could trade players once seen as untouchable.
- The team has a losing record and no draft picks.
- Daniel Jones has four touchdowns and seven interceptions in seven games.

## Summary

The Indianapolis Colts’ disappointing season has prompted speculation that the team could trade prominent players, including running back Jonathan Taylor. Taylor’s wife, Ayanna, said in social media videos that players once considered untouchable could be available, and Taylor said her comments did not change what was already being discussed. The situation matters because the Colts have lost ground and face major decisions about their roster and leadership.

The Colts fired general manager Chris Ballard after losses to the previously winless Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings, and interim general manager Ed Dodds could consider trades before the 10 November deadline. Ayanna Taylor pointed to the team’s losing record, lack of draft picks and need for new leadership; possible trade candidates named in the article include Taylor, DeForest Buckner, Grover Stewart and Quenton Nelson. Quarterback Daniel Jones has thrown four touchdowns and seven interceptions in seven games, while coach Shane Steichen may also face pressure if results do not improve.
