Jonny Greenwood has reflected on his musical evolution, revealing that he felt inadequate as a guitarist in Radiohead's formative years but has undergone a profound shift in his approach and attitude. The guitarist, who joined the band in 1985, now practises daily and has developed a genuine passion for the instrument, having previously distrusted technical fluidity and lacked motivation. This transformation has come through repetition and sustained engagement with the guitar, demonstrating how perspective and dedication can reshape one's relationship with one's craft.

Greenwood's comments follow Radiohead's announcement of 21 tour dates across Australia and Japan in May and June 2027, building on their successful reunion tour of the UK and Europe last year—their first performances since 2018. The band has committed to touring a different continent each year with exactly 20 shows annually, as outlined by guitarist Ed O'Brien in March. However, O'Brien has clarified that Radiohead has not discussed recording new material, citing the particularly gruelling experience of making their last album, 'A Moon Shaped Pool', which he described as having cast a "long shadow" over the band.
