Julianna Barwick and Mary Lattimore Share Songs From New Film Score
Julianna Barwick and Mary Lattimore have announced Threshold, their second collaborative release of the year and a score for a documentary about Olympic cross-country skier Jessie Diggins. The project marks a shift from their earlier duo album, using a broader musical palette while serving the documentary’s account of Diggins’s life and its directors’ vision.
Three tracks from the score—“Cold Open”, “Sick and Tired” and “Gallivare 10km”—have been released ahead of the full project on 20 November. Threshold was made for a film by American directors Lars and Torsten Brinkema, following the pair’s January debut as a duo, Tragic Magic, which was supported by a joint tour.
