Julie Klausner Joins ‘It Happened in Hollywood Live’ at Televerse for a Conversation Celebrating ‘Difficult People’
The Television Academy has announced that writer, comedian and podcaster Julie Klausner will join The Hollywood Reporter senior writer Seth Abramovitch for a special live edition of the podcast It Happened in Hollywood. The taping, part of Televerse, the Academy's annual television fan festival, will see Klausner reflect on the making and legacy of Difficult People, the Hulu comedy she created and starred in with Billy Eichner, marking a notable reunion between two figures who first met in New York's comedy scene in 2001.
The event takes place on Friday 14 August, from 2:15pm to 3:15pm PT, at the JW Marriott at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. Difficult People premiered in August 2015 and ran for three seasons, gaining a devoted following and featuring guest stars including Cole Escola; the series recently received its first Blu-ray release. Klausner's wider credits include writing for Schmigadoon! and The Kids in the Hall, the memoir I Don't Care About Your Band, and her own podcast How Was Your Week?, while Televerse offers one-day and three-day passes to fans.
