Justin Bieber has been confirmed as a co-headliner for the FIFA World Cup Final halftime show, joining Madonna, Shakira and BTS. The 11-minute performance will take place on 19 July at New York New Jersey Stadium, marking Bieber’s first public appearance since his Coachella headline set in April and the first halftime concert staged at a World Cup Final.

Coldplay’s Chris Martin is curating the show, with Burna Boy, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, the PS22 Chorus and the Muppets also due to appear. Global Citizen, Live Nation and Done + Dusted are producing the event to support FIFA’s Global Citizen Education Fund, which seeks $100 million to widen children’s access to education and football; $1 from every 2026 World Cup ticket is being donated.

Justin Bieber has been added to the line-up performing at half-time during the World Cup Final, alongside established names Madonna, Shakira and BTS. The short set is scheduled for 19 July at New York New Jersey Stadium and is notable partly because it will be his first public performance since headlining the Coachella festival in April, and partly because a halftime concert has never before been staged at a World Cup Final.

The show is being put together by Coldplay's Chris Martin, with a mixed bill of performers including Burna Boy, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, an orchestra and choir, and the Muppets. It is organised by Global Citizen, Live Nation and the production company Done + Dusted, rather than by FIFA directly, though it ties into FIFA's own charitable fund.

The event is linked to a fundraising drive, the Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to improve children's access to education and football, partly through $1 from every 2026 World Cup ticket sold. This gives the performance a purpose beyond entertainment, positioning it as part of a wider charitable effort connected to the tournament.
