Kane Brown Says He Owes Chris Young an Apology: “I Was a Bad Friend”
Country singer Kane Brown has admitted he owes fellow artist Chris Young an apology after failing to turn up to the grand opening of Young's Nashville bar, named "Famous Friends" after their 2020 hit duet. Brown, who was expected to attend the celebration, acknowledged in an interview that he let his friend down, saying he had been "a bad friend" for missing the milestone event.
Young opened the bar on 24 June, joining a growing list of country stars with hospitality ventures in Nashville, and had welcomed friends, family and fans to mark the occasion. "Famous Friends," Brown and Young's collaboration, had reached No. 1 on the US Country Airplay chart and No. 2 on the Hot Country Songs chart following its November 2020 release. Despite Brown's absence, the pair's friendship, built through years of touring, co-writing and guest appearances on each other's music, remains strong.
