Freeform has greenlit "Somebody Knows Something," a new true-crime series hosted by Kara Robinson Chamberlain, a true-crime influencer and kidnapping survivor. The Disney-owned network's series will see Chamberlain investigate long-unsolved murders and missing persons cases that have baffled police and amateur online investigators for years, marking Freeform's latest push into the true-crime genre.

The eight-episode series, launching on 10 August, will devote one episode to each case, including the disappearance of baby Sabrina Aisenberg, Colorado teenager Lashaya Stine, Steven Koecher, Kevin McGrath, Kyron Horman, the murder of Liz Barraza, runner Amy Wroe Bechtel, and Brandy Hall. Each episode will end with a direct appeal to viewers for information, and episodes will stream on Hulu the day after broadcast. The show is produced by Ample Entertainment for ABC News Studios, with Ari Mark, David Sloan, Claire Weinraub, Eileen Murphy and Katie Turley-Molony among the producing team.
