Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill, who played Amy Pond and Rory Williams in Doctor Who, have confirmed they are teaming up again with a new podcast called The Karen and Arthur Podcast. The pair announced the project via a newly created Instagram account, posting a video in which they described sharing stories and reminiscing about their time on the long-running BBC sci-fi series. The news will delight fans of the Eleventh Doctor era, which starred Matt Smith alongside Gillan and Darvill's characters.

In the announcement video, Darvill and Gillan said the podcast would involve "chatting", "drinking tea, telling stories" and "reminiscing", with the first episode due to be released soon, though no exact date has been given. The idea, nicknamed the "Pondcast", was first teased by Darvill in an interview with Radio Times last year, in which he explained that he and Gillan remain close and felt ready to look back on their "formative" experience on the show, having already recorded some episodes at that time.
