## Summary

Kartik Aaryan’s action drama “Captain India” is set during the Houthi conflict in Yemen and centres on a humanitarian evacuation. Aaryan plays a pilot leading the rescue, in his first role as a pilot; the conflict gives the film a geopolitical backdrop, though its specific place in the plot has not been disclosed.

The story draws on an Indian evacuation operation in Yemen in 2015, which brought Indian citizens and people from around the world to safety. Shimit Amin directs, with T-Series, Baweja Studios and Dopamine Studios among the production partners. The film is shooting in the UK and is scheduled to open in Indian cinemas on 13 August 2027.
