Vincent Young has completed filming in Los Angeles on his directorial debut, Small Talk, a period music drama set in the late-1970s rock scene. The film follows an emerging band whose growing success is threatened by ambition, romance and addiction, exploring how fame strains the relationships that formed the group.

Keegan Allen, Conor Husting, Rio Mangini, Sophia Del Rio and Austin North lead the cast, alongside Sophie Swiszcz, Shaun Holmes and Michael Paré, among others. Young co-wrote the screenplay with RJ Zabasky from a story developed with Douglas Young, who is also a producer; the director said the film examines what people leave behind in those they love.
