Kehlani has cancelled two forthcoming North American tour dates after being treated in hospital for severe throat pain and difficulty swallowing. The singer said she had not been cleared to perform, underlining the physical pressures of touring and her stated commitment to prioritising her health.

The affected concerts were scheduled in New Jersey and Maryland, with Kehlani apologising to fans in Camden and Washington, DC, and saying her team was seeking a solution. The tour is expected to resume in Richmond, Virginia, on 29 August; it began in Minneapolis on 6 August and is scheduled to end in San Francisco on 3 October. Kehlani’s self-titled fifth album was released in April, following 2024’s Crash.
